Description: The Urn was originally a focal point in the Pompeii Room at the Baltimore Hotel -- one of Kamas City premiere hotels that opened in 1899. The urn was described as one of the finest examples of Pompeian architecture in the United Sates. When the hotel was demolished in 1939, the owners gave the urn to J.C. Nichols who placed it at its current location.
