Firefighters' Fountain |
This fountain located at the south end of Penn Valley Park is a collaborative effort from many private sources. Dedicated only recently, it commemorates the city's firefighters and memorializes those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Fountain of Bacchus |
Although known as Pan Fountain, this sculpture is more likely to be the personification of the Greek god Bacchus holding court. The 10 thousand pound lead sculpture was purchased by the Nichols Company in 1960 and found this suitable home on the Plaza.
Bacchus is surrounded by nymphs and satyrs in the center of Chandler Court near the Swanson's building on the Plaza.

Four Fauns Fountain |
The fauns are arranged at the corners of a rectangular pool. A simple water effect is created as each faun issues a single stream of water from its hand. This quiet scene is counterpoint to the busy Plaza street nearby.

Frank Land Memorial Fountain |
Frank S. Land was very active in the DeMolay organization. After his death in 1959, a committee was named to recommend a suitable memorial to him. Funds for the $20,000 fountain were raised by DeMolay members. The memorial somewhat resembles a gravestone in its form. The eight-foot high cenotaph of red granite is carved with the inscription, "For God--For Country--For DeMolay." The fountain is currently inoperable.

George H. Lowry Memorial Fountain |
One of Kansas City's most charming fountain creations now sits dry, neglected and almost forgotten next to a vacant Presbyterian church at Linwood Blvd. and Michigan. This graceful fountain served as a fitting tribute to a man whose life was involved with his church. Now it stands as mute testimony to the brief passage of time in which a human life can be forgotten.
